Chris Cain is Vice President of The Southern Agency, where he oversees operations and claims management. With over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, Chris specializes in risk assessment, coverage analysis, and complex claims management, including multi-million-dollar cases and large risk pools. He is a licensed insurance adjuster and agent across multiple states.
Throughout his career, Chris has held significant leadership roles, including serving on the Tennessee Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Telehealth and Utilization Review Advisory Committees and the United Heartland Insurance Company Claims Advisory Council. He also served as President of both the Tennessee State Claims Association and the Chattanooga Claims Association, the latter for 15 years.
Chris began his career at age 25 as the Workers’ Compensation Division Manager for a third-party administrator, a role he held for 27 years. He holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Economics from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC).
Chris and his wife, Stacey, have two children: Tyler, a Naval Flight Officer, and Lauren, a business major and AMA Collegiate Chapter President at UTC. Chris and Lauren also co-host the podcast Work Comp Chaos.
