Arizona — Janitorial Bond

When a cleaning customer asks whether your Arizona business is bonded, find out what protection they expect. A janitorial bond addresses covered theft involving the people doing the work. Choose the one-year or three-year RLI option below to start your purchase with The Southern Agency.

Also known as Arizona Janitorial Bond (1 Year); Arizona Janitorial Bond (3 Years); Arizona Janitorial Bonds

2 options on record. Choose the one that matches your requirement, then purchase.

How a fidelity bond works

Fidelity protection responds to covered dishonest acts. The form identifies whose money or property is protected, the covered persons, and the applicable limits.

What this bond does

Janitorial fidelity protection addresses covered employee dishonesty involving customers’ money or property during cleaning services. RLI’s business-services/janitorial application describes a conviction condition: the employee must be convicted of the alleged dishonesty before coverage applies.

Who needs it
An Arizona cleaning or janitorial business arranging theft protection for customer work or responding to a client’s bonding condition. The customer contract should guide your choice of limit and covered people.
Who is protected
The relevant exposure is theft of customer money or property by a person covered under the bond. Coverage depends on the issued form, including its conditions, exclusions and limit; a missing item alone does not establish a covered claim.

Choose from 2 options

Each option is a separate record. Where a term, bond amount, premium, or E&O limit is known, it is listed; match it to what your requirement asks for.

The coverage amount describes a limit of protection, not the price. Match the requested protection and covered persons to the actual fidelity form. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Start with the people entering your customers’ premises

Make an accurate count of full- and part-time employees and identify the owners who also clean. RLI’s application asks separately for employee and owner counts and whether owners are to be covered. Do not assume an owner is included simply because the business buys a bond.

If you use subcontractors, compare their role with the covered-person definition before describing them as bonded under your policy. Keep the client’s insurance and bonding requirements together so you can answer the actual contract request.

Choose a theft limit, then check separate liability needs

Use the client’s minimum limit as your starting point. Also consider the property accessible during a cleaning shift and the number of people with access. Review how the form applies its limit, any deductible and the conviction condition rather than treating the limit as an automatic payment.

Accidentally damaging a countertop or causing a slip-and-fall raises different questions from employee theft. A janitorial bond does not replace the general liability insurance your contract may also request.

One-year and three-year choices on this page

Both listed options are RLI janitorial bonds: one year and three years. Choose the period that fits your plans, then review the available limit and actual effective dates in the application. A longer term does not by itself mean a higher theft limit.

Use the matching Purchase Now link to open RLI's application in a new tab. After issuance, keep the bond with your client onboarding documents and provide the evidence the customer requests. Review the coverage again when your workforce or contract requirements change.

Questions about this bond

Is this an Arizona cleaning license bond?

This is janitorial fidelity protection. A client’s request to be bonded should be read for its theft limit and covered-person requirements; it is not proof of a statewide cleaning-license bond mandate.

Does RLI’s janitorial description pay for every missing item?

No. The application describes a conviction condition for alleged employee dishonesty. The issued form’s exclusions, deductible and other claim conditions also matter.

Are owners automatically covered while cleaning?

Do not assume that. RLI asks whether owners are to be covered, separately from employee and owner counts. Review the selection and the issued document.

Where do I choose a three-year bond?

Choose the three-year option on this page and continue through its Purchase Now link. There is no need to use a separate Arizona term page.
