Baltimore, MD — Street Permit Bond
Baltimore City distinguishes a builder's use of the street/sidewalk for materials from a street-cut permit. Confirm which City instrument this broad Street Permit offering must match; the two Code provisions do not establish identical scope, warranty or release.

What this bond does
Match Baltimore City's assigned street-use or street-cut security to the actual permit and accepted instrument.
- Who needs it
- The City-required builder or street-cut permittee/principal, with the performing contractor and actual permit holder correctly identified.
- Who it protects
- The applicable City form protects the named City against covered liabilities and public-way restoration loss. It does not establish permission to work or completion/payment protection for every private building contract.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Questions about this bond
Is a builders' street-use bond necessarily the street-cut instrument?
The Code treats those separately. Have Transportation and the issuer identify the actual accepted form and coverage for this broad listing.
Can street-cut security cover more than one permit?
Section 15-31 permits multi-permit security for one person and allows the Director to increase it for workload. Obtain the actual accepted coverage.
Does the street-cut warranty start at purchase?
Section 15-30 starts it after work is completed, inspected and approved, with an additional-year extension for warranty repair. It is not the option's offered duration.
