What this bond does

For Town of Farmington, Connecticut highway/ROW permit security, not a general promise covering every licensed contractor's private work.

Who needs it
Principals required to furnish Farmington's accepted highway permit instrument.
Who it protects
The posted Permit Bond incorporates the permit undertaking, specified town losses and restoration, and post-completion maintenance. Name the Town of Farmington and the actual principal as directed.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Confirm the principal and responsible individual

The Engineering packet includes a $5,000 Permit Bond with principal and responsible-individual fields. Give Engineering and RLI the exact accepted form and legal names rather than relying on the broad Highway Permit label. The option itself displays no fixed amount or term.

Check maintenance and cancellation separately

The town form includes at least two years of street maintenance after completion and continuing-security language concerning written cancellation consent addressed to the Town Manager or authorized agent. Ask Engineering and the provider how cancellation and release must be handled. Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab; check and file the issued document, then complete the Town's separate permit process. A maintenance period is not an advertised purchase term.

Questions about this bond

Is the Highway Permit label enough to complete the application?

Use the actual Town instrument and principal details. Confirm RLI's issued form satisfies Engineering's request; the label alone does not settle that.

Is the maintenance requirement an offered two-year term?

No fixed term is displayed. The town form's post-completion maintenance and continuing-security provisions must be read separately.

Does the RLI application obtain my Town permit?

No. Check and file the bond and complete the separate Town approvals. Farmington says an application alone is not permission to start work.
