What this bond does

Use the Tobacco Distributors Tax Stamp selection in Revenue's shared Standard Tax Bond Form, with the actual distributor, location and license year.

Who needs it
Georgia tobacco distributors providing the stamp-payment security requested by the Alcohol and Tobacco Division. The current directory lists $1,000, and the selected model specifies not less than $1,000.
Who it protects
The principal and surety bind themselves jointly and severally to Georgia. In addition to the stamp-payment guarantee, the operative condition covers business taxes, license fees, rental charges and other sums, penalties/interest, State collection expenses and compliance with Georgia law and Revenue rules.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Details for Georgia tobacco-stamp security

The selected form uses a July 1–June 30 license period and unconditionally guarantees the fiscal year's tobacco-stamp purchases. Complete the actual fiscal year and assigned amount; do not treat the listed minimum as approval for every purchasing exposure.

Revenue's relevant instructions say the bond runs with the distributor license and remains in force for a year after expiration or revocation. The separate cancellation clause permits any party to give sixty days' written notice to each other party at its last known address, without removing liability occurring before that notice expires. Follow Revenue's accepted period/release instructions.

The principal's licensee or authorized corporate officer signs and seals; the surety executes through its authorized official/attorney-in-fact with corporate seal. Attach the required certified authority showing the surety signer's power was effective when executed.

Purchase Now opens Propeller's Georgia stamp-bond application in a new tab. Match the actual entity, stamp undertaking, license/location, sum and fiscal year, then deliver the issued document to Revenue as instructed. Payment does not license the distributor or authorize unpaid stamp purchases.

Questions about this bond

Is this the same selection as the distributor-license performance bond?

Revenue lists them separately. The selected stamp model adds an unconditional guarantee for fiscal-year tobacco-stamp purchases. Match the actual request.

Can I assume $1,000 authorizes any amount of stamp purchases?

The directory lists $1,000 and the form sets that minimum. Revenue must accept the required sum for the actual request; the minimum is not an unlimited purchasing authorization.

Does cancellation erase earlier stamp liabilities?

The model preserves liability occurring before the sixty-day notice expires. Its relevant instructions also address a year after license expiration/revocation.
