Oklahoma City, OK — Fence Contractor License Bond

Oklahoma City requires its $1,000 Occupation Bond for Fence Contractor registration. New applicants must arrange the City's written test; renewals have a different evidence checklist. This is City fence licensing, not the State Construction Industries Board trade bond.

What this bond does

Provide the accepted City occupation security for fence installation, construction, repair, alteration or servicing.

Who needs it
New or renewing fence contractors aligning the license principal, City form and actual license-year period.
Who it protects
The form requires occupation/code compliance, payment of stated fines/penalties and City indemnity for negligent or unskilled work by the principal or agents/employees. It does not turn every fence contract into a separately guaranteed project.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Use the new or renewal checklist that fits

The City's fence section directs new applicants to schedule a written test with the Chief Building Inspector, then bring test results, contractor information, photo ID, $1,000 bond and the stated immigration affidavit. Its renewal checklist omits new-test results and calls for the affidavit if not already on file. Confirm which route applies.

Use the City's Fence Contractor instrument, with the actual principal, surety and beginning/ending dates for the license-paying year. It includes principal, surety and applicable secretary/seal execution areas. Do not copy the Sign Contractor or State CIB instrument simply because each is called an occupation or contractor bond.

Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab. Match business, fence scope, City form and license period before applying. After issuance, check execution and deliver the required registration documents through the City's stated office process. Bond purchase does not pass the test, issue the license or authorize a particular fence.

Sources

Have these ready

  1. Before application: distinguish new-license test from renewal evidence.
  2. For issuance: match City Fence form, principal, $1,000 and actual license-year dates.
  3. After issuance: check applicable signature/seal areas.
  4. For registration: provide the correct City checklist separately from site permits.

Questions about this bond

Is this the State CIB license bond?

No. Oklahoma City links a distinct $1,000 Fence Contractor occupation form for its municipal registration.

Must renewals repeat the new-applicant test checklist?

The City's renewal checklist differs: it does not list new-test results and asks for the affidavit if not already on file. Confirm your actual renewal requirements.

Does the form specify a universal December ending date?

It has blank beginning and ending dates for the license-paying year. Match the actual City license period rather than invent a December term.
