What this bond does

The Commission's posted rebuilder packet requires an original $15,000 undertaking, signed by the owner and matching the ownership, business name and lot address. Its stated expiration is December 31 of an odd-numbered year.

Who needs it
The business applying for the used-motor-vehicle rebuilder certificate. This dedicated filing does not replace the separate dealer bond described in the form or a crusher's different undertaking.
Who it protects
The actual form addresses the stated fraud, title-issuance, Dealer Laws/rules and loss-indemnity conditions for protected consumers, used dealers and auctions. It expressly excludes financial institutions and parties extending floor plans or financing for the rebuilder's inventory. It is not equipment insurance or a guarantee to inventory lenders.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Keep the rebuilder bond and odd-year expiration distinct

The form expressly recites a separate dealer bond before the dedicated $15,000 rebuilder security. Match the licensed business and actual file; do not treat one catalog choice as proof both obligations are satisfied.

Use the accepted December 31 odd-year period. The instructions require uninterrupted security during licensure and warn of automatic revocation after a lapse. Neither the form's cancellation notice nor the crusher's June 30 date selects this option's duration.

Purchase Now opens Propeller. Check the rebuilder form, owner/entity, lot address, State recipient, sum and dates before applying. Required local approval, facility documents and Commission inspection/license approval are separate from provider issuance.

Questions about this bond

Can the $15,000 rebuilder bond serve as the dealer bond too?

The actual form recites a separate dealer undertaking and then requires rebuilder security. Confirm both obligations in the actual licensed file rather than assuming one purchase satisfies both.

Does the form protect the inventory lender?

It expressly excludes financial institutions and parties providing floor plans or inventory financing. The named protected classes and printed condition do not create a general lender guarantee.

May I begin rebuilding after submitting the application?

The Commission's instructions say submission does not authorize rebuilder business. The required documents, inspection and certificate approval still have to be completed.
