What this bond does

City of Overland Park, Kansas annual performance and maintenance security in the twenty-five-or-fewer ROW permit category.

Who needs it
The legal permit applicant/principal planning the City's accepted annual programme and category transition.
Who it protects
The accepted annual instrument secures covered ROW chapter duties and restoration; the $30,000 category is not the private contract value or coverage for every site regardless of permit count.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Match the twenty-five-permit programme to the City's category

Posted §13.12.460 lists ten-or-fewer permits at $15,000 and twenty-five-or-fewer at $30,000 per year, with higher-count categories also available under the Code. Have Engineering confirm the expected permits, period and accepted arrangement when the work exceeds ten or may exceed twenty-five.

The Engineer may increase security for a service-provider build-out of significant scope. The Code also has work-specific bond exemptions, plus government and residential self-performing owner provisions. A count label alone does not establish the amount or requirement for every applicant.

Keep each permit and restoration period documented

The application section calls for an Engineer pre-application conference unless waived, registration verification, scaled drawings of existing/proposed facilities and traffic control. Identify who uses the ROW and who performs the work; the annual security does not replace those plans or issued permission.

Purchase Now opens Propeller; the option displays no fixed amount or term. Ask the issuer to match the City-approved form, principal and recipient, assigned amount, covered permits and dates. Arrange execution, separate insurance and accepted City Clerk filing, then obtain the required work permits.

The security section requires coverage during the permit and two years thereafter and bars continuing a prior year's annual bond to allow additional permits. Keep a record of covered permits, inspections and restoration and obtain Engineering's direction before changing category or starting another period. Do not count an annual renewal as automatic release of earlier work.
