Overland Park, KS — Right Of Way - Unlimited Permits Bond

Overland Park's posted §13.12.460 lists $100,000 annual security for unlimited ROW permits. The $50,000 category is fifty permits or fewer, not unlimited. Match the current City requirement with the issuer; 'unlimited' describes permit count, not unlimited liability or perpetual permission.

What this bond does

City of Overland Park, Kansas annual performance and maintenance security in its unlimited-permit category.

Who needs it
The City's legal applicant/principal planning the unlimited annual programme, including any service-provider build-out requiring an adjusted sum.
Who it protects
The accepted form secures covered ROW chapter obligations and restoration. An unlimited permit-count label does not remove the instrument's amount, dates, conditions or separate work approvals.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Distinguish unlimited permits from the fifty-permit category

The current published section lists annual categories of $15,000 for ten permits or fewer, $30,000 for twenty-five or fewer, $50,000 for fifty or fewer and $100,000 for unlimited permits. Do not use an older $50,000 unlimited description as the current requirement.

Engineering can increase security for a significant service-provider build-out. The Code also exempts specified driveway replacement, landscaping and new-construction plumbing connections, with separate government and self-performing owner provisions. Confirm the applicant, operations and annual programme before ordering.

Obtain each permission and maintain covered prior work

Posted §13.12.450 requires an Engineer pre-application conference unless waived, registration verification, scaled drawings showing existing/proposed facilities and a traffic-control plan. Unlimited annual security does not approve every installation, lane closure or excavation.

Purchase Now opens Propeller; the option displays no fixed amount or term. Have the issuer and City match the current approved instrument, principal and recipient, assigned sum, covered permits and dates. Arrange execution, separate insurance and accepted City Clerk filing, then obtain issued work permission.

The Code requires coverage during the permit and two years afterward and prohibits continuing a previous year's annual bond to allow additional permits. Obtain the next period's security and keep older restoration duties covered; preserve inspection/acceptance and continuation/release records rather than assuming a renewal or a count label ends them.
