Pulaski County, IN — Contractor License Bond

Pulaski County's current-linked contractor registration application requires a permit/license bond of at least $5,000, with the obligee named as Pulaski County Building Dept. The department will not consider the application without both the bond and the separate insurance certificate.

What this bond does

Provide the surety document required for Pulaski County Building Department contractor registration.

Who needs it
Contractors identifying the County registration type for their business and work.
Who it protects
Use the accepted permit/license instrument for the registration obligation. The surety is separate from liability and workers' compensation coverage and does not automatically guarantee completion or payment under every private construction contract.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Use the department's recipient and your actual business

The application asks for the business structure, business name, principal officer and registration type, with general, electrical, plumbing and mechanical examples. Match the bond to that actual applicant and request rather than just using the officer's name or a nearby city's recipient.

The department is based in Winamac and describes building-permit and inspection services under joint resolutions with Winamac, Monterey and Medaryville. That service context does not replace the application's specific Building Dept. bond naming or prove that every other authority accepts the same form.

Check the registration anniversary, not an assumed calendar year

The current application says renewal is 12 months following the prior registration/renewal date and asks for a valid email because reminders will not be postal mailed. That registration cycle does not create a fixed one-year checkout option or establish that the bond is renewed automatically.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Confirm the applicant, department recipient, requested sum of at least $5,000, actual dates and form before applying. After issuance, check execution and return the bond with the registration application and separate insurance documents as the department directs. Bond issuance does not itself approve registration or a project permit.

Sources

Have these ready

  1. Identify the business structure, principal officer and actual County registration type.
  2. Have the accepted form and department's at-least-$5,000 request.
  3. Prepare the separate insurance evidence and valid registration email.
  4. Check issued-document execution, registration anniversary and departmental submission separately.

Questions about this bond

Should I name Winamac simply because the department is there?

Use the actual request. The current application names Pulaski County Building Dept. for the bond obligee; the office's mailing city is not a substitute.

Is registration renewed at the end of December?

The current application states 12 months after the previous registration/renewal date. Check the actual bond dates separately.

Can I submit insurance alone while the bond is still pending?

The application says it will not be considered without both the Certificate of Insurance and permit/license bond. Buying or applying for a bond is not the same as supplying the issued document.
