Brook Park, OH — Contractor's License Bond

Brook Park's actual 2026 packet requests a separate $40,000 City-form bond for each registration type, with original ink signatures. Before applying, obtain clarification of its default wording: the posted form says a contractor's failure makes the bond “void ab initio,” alongside compliance and restoration obligations.

What this bond does

Identify the current City classification and security request without silently correcting an unresolved condition in the posted form.

Who needs it
Contractors preparing each registration type and the City-approved 2026 instrument.
Who it protects
The form describes violation correction, City/employee indemnity and street restoration, but its quoted failure/void wording needs City and surety clarification. Do not assume that wording has been resolved or promise a particular claim outcome from this page.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Resolve the condition and use the current original form

Use the 2026 page-two City instrument, not older $25,000 guidance, a standard issuance or continuation certificate. It prints a December 31, 2026 end date. Ask the Building Department and surety for the accepted current instrument and written clarification before treating the unusual default sentence as a coverage promise.

The packet requires ink signatures from the business owner and insurer/attorney-in-fact; typewritten names are not accepted. Accepted electronic/embossed/foil/stamped seals do not remove that ink-signature requirement. The application also requires the City's specified additional-insured statement, not just a certificate checkbox, and separate applicable State/workers' compensation evidence.

Purchase Now opens RLI, not City registration. After confirming the actual form, class, $40,000 request, principal and dates, check issuance and deliver the complete packet by the City's mail/drop-off route. Original registration/permit approval must be on site before work begins; provider payment is not that approval.
