What this bond does

Section 210.05(3)(b) permits appointed stamping agents to provide qualifying security for cigarette stamps purchased without cash on delivery. The surety-bond option supports the agent's obligation to pay the state; purchasing a bond does not itself authorize stamp credit.

Who needs it
Florida cigarette-stamping distributors arranging the approved charge-purchase option. It is different from a tax-paid distributor, a cash-stamping arrangement or a wholesaler handling only other tobacco products.
Who it protects
The ABT-6032 bond binds principal and surety jointly and severally to Florida for promptly accounting for and paying all money due the state as taxes on the principal's operations, and otherwise complying with the selected cigarette laws in Chapter 210, Part I. It protects the state rather than insuring the distributor's inventory or customer receivables.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Details for Florida charge stamp purchases

The charge-purchase statute sets security at 110 percent of estimated tax liability for thirty days, with a $2,000 minimum. The general cigarette-tax security provision in section 210.08 uses the same calculation. Have the Division confirm the required sum for your account instead of selecting an amount from the form's alcoholic-beverage or other-tobacco rows.

Payment for each month's stamp liability is due by the tenth day of the following month. This is not a universal thirty-day extension after each individual purchase. The statute allows supplemental cash purchases, but default can lead to loss of the noncash purchase privilege for up to twelve months.

On the shared ABT-6032 form, identify Stamping Distributor-Charge and select Cigarette Laws, Chapter 210, Part I. Use the applicant's legal name as it appears on the license application, its county and any existing license number. A separate bond is required for each type of license or permit under the packet's instructions.

The model allows cancellation through sixty days' written notice to the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco. It keeps the surety liable for covered acts committed before cancellation. Keep the accepted security in place and ask the Division how a replacement or ended charge arrangement affects your authority to operate.

Complete the principal and surety execution and include the properly certified copy of the surety agent's power of attorney required by the packet. Use the Division's current district licensing and auditing instructions for submission; the bond application is separate from license approval.

Purchase Now opens Propeller's Florida Stamping Distributor-Charge application in a new tab. Match the business, required amount and charge classification before completing it, then arrange the executed bond for state acceptance. Provider payment does not file your license application or approve stamp purchases.

Questions about this bond

What does Charge mean on this listing?

It identifies the authorized arrangement for stamp purchases without cash on delivery. State approval and qualifying security are required; buying this bond does not establish the credit arrangement by itself.

Is the amount always $2,000?

No. That is the statutory minimum. The charge-purchase provision requires 110 percent of estimated tax liability for thirty days, so the Division may require a larger amount for your account.

When must I pay for stamps bought on charge?

Section 210.05(3)(b) makes each month's liability due on or before the tenth day of the following month. The model's sixty-day cancellation provision does not extend that payment deadline.

Can I select the tobacco-products condition on the shared form?

Not for cigarette stamping. Select the charge stamping classification and Chapter 210, Part I cigarette laws. Other tobacco products use a different part of the statute and different security instructions.
