What this bond does

The required instrument identifies employer payroll and welfare remittances secured. Journeymen in the organization reference does not itself determine every covered employee classification.

Who needs it
The employer responsible for payments under the actual Local 130 agreement and written security demand.
Who it protects
Use the complete required wage, union, fund or trustee names. Employer labor security does not enroll a member in insurance or establish a plumbing license.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Distinguish an employer undertaking from a worker's credential

Bring the employer agreement, payroll and actual welfare reporting instructions. An individual's journeyman credential or membership card does not establish the legal employer and complete recipients required by the bond.

Use the agreement and instrument for covered classifications rather than assuming apprentice inclusion or exclusion from the recorded name. A construction payment bond for a plumbing project does not automatically meet the Local 130 employer request.

Questions about this bond

Is an individual journeyman the applicant?

Identify the employer responsible for the labor-payment demand. The worker credential and employer security request are different records.

Does Journeymen decide whether apprentices are covered?

Not by itself. Use the actual agreement and instrument's work and employee-classification provisions.

Does this establish ERISA fidelity protection?

Employer wage/welfare remittances differ from protecting plan assets against dishonest handling. That separate fidelity obligation is not established by this request.

Where do I apply for the employer bond?

Choose Purchase Now for Propeller in a new tab, with the complete Local 130 employer request. Review the issued instrument and complete required execution and delivery. Applying does not grant a credential or establish the recipients' acceptance.
