What this bond does

Support the applicant's contractor registration with the City of Kirtland, Ohio, for the work identified in its Zoning Department application.

Who needs it
Applicants preparing Kirtland's contractor registration, with the actual individual, company and covered work categories identified.
Who it protects
The procedures request registration security but do not reproduce the bond's conditions. The accepted instrument determines what it secures; the City expressly says registration is not a guarantee or recommendation of the contractor's workmanship.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Prepare the individual and work-category details

For application, have the principal registration individual's details, company name and work categories ready. The published procedures, in the file labeled revised January 17, 2023, describe January–December registration. Confirm the accepted bond form and dates for the year you need rather than assuming a year from purchase.

The procedures ask for registrations from two other communities or notarized evidence of prior work from businesses or customers. They separately call for electricians' and plumbers' Lake County Building Department license or registration. The liability-certificate instruction names the City additional insured when work is on City buildings or property, not automatically for every private job.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Match the Kirtland request, principal, work categories, $5,000 reference and accepted dates. After issuance, check the principal individual's signature and other execution required by the accepted form, then submit the bond with the registration evidence. The provider application does not grant the City certificate or approve the work.
