Nevada — State Athletic Commission Promoter's License And Refund Bond

Nevada's posted Promoter's License and Refund Bond names the People of the State of Nevada and prints $10,000. Its refund protection concerns ticket purchasers when an advertised contest is postponed or cancelled, not a return of security to the promoter.

What this bond does

The undertaking secures Chapter 467/rule compliance and imposed fees, with express ticket-redemption obligations. NRS 467.080 lets the Commission set security at no less than $10,000 and require additional money where the bond is inadequate; the printed form is not a universal maximum requirement.

Who needs it
The actual unarmed-combat promoter responding to the Commission's licensing/security request. Section 467.080 exempts amateur athletic clubs from its bond and additional-deposit subsections; do not convert that into an exemption for every amateur promoter.
Who it protects
A person, firm or corporation with a covered injury may sue in its own name; the State's action is not barred. The Commission may enforce the undertaking for protected persons. The posted instrument caps total aggregate liability at $10,000.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Keep the ticket-redemption and Commission-payment duties distinct

The form requires purchasers to receive a coupon, stub or check showing the date, club name and amount paid. It is to be retained and redeemed at face value if the advertised contest is postponed or cancelled. Keep ticket and refund records tied to the actual event.

If the promoter fails the stated refund duty, the surety clause calls for payment to the Commission within 15 days after the advertised contest. The stated clock runs from the advertised contest, not a later claim approval; the payment goes to the Commission rather than being a promised direct payment to every purchaser.

The bond continues through the licensed period and renewals. Its notice provisions call for 30 days' registered-mail notice to the Commission and principal, preserving earlier accrued liability. Continued renewals do not turn the printed aggregate into a fresh limit for every event or year.

Purchase Now opens Propeller. Match the actual promoter, People-of-Nevada obligee wording, accepted license/refund condition, required sum, dates and execution before applying. If the Commission requires more than the posted $10,000 instrument or separate security, use Call rather than assuming its printed cap changes automatically. Complete licensing and event approval separately.

  4. Confirm effective/renewal dates and the registered-mail notice requirements.
  5. Arrange current accepted execution and any additional Commission security or event filings.

Questions about this bond

Does refund mean the promoter receives the bond amount back?

The express refund clauses concern ticket purchasers after postponement or cancellation. Any separate Commission money deposit is a different security arrangement, not what this title promises to return.

Must the Commission always accept only $10,000?

No. NRS 467.080 sets a Commission-determined amount of at least $10,000 and allows an additional money deposit if inadequate. Match the actual request; the posted form's cap does not satisfy every larger requirement.

Does the surety pay every purchaser directly within fifteen days?

The printed clause addresses payment to the Commission within 15 days after the advertised contest when the promoter fails the stated refund duty. Do not replace that mechanism with an unprinted direct-payment promise.
