What this bond does

Support the applicant's City of North Ridgeville contractor registration under the requirements effective December 1, 2025.

Who needs it
Contractors, subcontractors and specialty contractors matching their company, qualifications and actual work to the City registration.
Who it protects
The adopted rule secures applicable City/State building-code compliance and correction or abatement when the principal fails to act within the Chief Building Official's stated reasonable time. The current bond covers its twelve-month effective period and continues for work started then until it meets City requirements.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Use the new rolling period and current City instrument

The City says the updated registration process took effect December 1, 2025 and directs new and renewal applications to GovWell. Registration is valid for one year from issuance. The current bond separately identifies its effective and expiration dates and a twelve-month period from its effective date; match the actual dates rather than defaulting to December 31.

Have the applicant, company, experience and relevant State-licensed trade ready. The adopted rule separately requires liability evidence naming the City as certificate holder and workers' compensation for contractors with employees. Registration and specialty qualifications are not provided by the bond.

Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab. Match the current $25,000 City form, principal and dates. After issuance, check the principal/company details, surety-agent execution and attached power of attorney, then provide the bond through the City's registration process. Its continued coverage of work started during the period does not automatically renew registration or eliminate the requirement to file a new bond for continuous coverage.

Questions about this bond

Should I still use the old December 31 registration period?

The updated process uses one year from registration issuance. The current bond uses its stated effective date for its twelve-month period. Match your actual dates.

Does the bond stop covering unfinished work at expiration?

The current form says it continues to cover work started during its period until that work is completed in accordance with City requirements, subject to its stated liability limit.

Does that continued work coverage renew registration?

No. Registration and continuous bond filing are separate. The instrument says a new bond must be filed as required to maintain continuous coverage.
