What this bond does

Identify the specific security requested for the applicant's Rossford contractor registration rather than infer it from an Insurance/Bond field.

Who needs it
Businesses checking their residential or commercial role with Rossford's Zoning Department.
Who it protects
The registration forms' Insurance/Bond references do not define a surety's conditions. Obtain the accepted instrument to identify its beneficiary and duties; liability evidence is a separate document.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Resolve the class and the Insurance/Bond wording

The City's registration page describes the program established in 2023 and links four applications. The residential general form asks for State-license and Insurance/Bond copies; other forms contain liability-insurance checks and administrative Insurance/Bond fields. None of those fields states a bond amount or reproduces its conditions. Ask the Zoning Department what current surety request applies to your actual role.

The applications identify the business and contact, new or renewal status, registration year and RITA registration. They state December 31 registration expiration. Commercial general contractors have separate scheduling, jobsite, subcontractor-RITA, permit and preconstruction responsibilities; their registration does not automatically register every subcontractor.

Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab. First confirm the exact principal, recipient, class, accepted form, amount and dates. After issuance, check execution and the City's bond-delivery instructions. The City's iWorq registration route is separate from provider checkout, and its calendar registration date is not proof of an unconfirmed bond term.

Sources

Have these ready

  1. Before purchase: establish residential/commercial and general/subcontractor role.
  2. For application: obtain the actual written bond request and accepted instrument.
  3. Before issuance: match principal, recipient, sum and dates independently of registration fields.
  4. After issuance: check execution and confirmed delivery; complete separate City and RITA registration.

Questions about this bond

Does an Insurance/Bond field specify the bond I need?

No. The current applications use that wording without a complete surety instrument or amount. Confirm the exact current request.

Is Rossford registration one undifferentiated category?

The City links separate residential general, residential-only, commercial general and commercial contractor/subcontractor applications. Match your actual role.

Does iWorq replace the RLI application?

No. iWorq is the City's registration route; Purchase Now opens the provider. Issuance and delivery of any required bond are separate steps.
