Saginaw, TX — Construction Right Of Way Bond

For Saginaw utility ROW work, contractor registration and final field approval are separate steps. If Public Works has requested a construction ROW bond, obtain that instrument's requirements before applying; the current registration form's insurance checklist does not itself establish the bond.

What this bond does

Addresses construction ROW security specifically requested by Saginaw, subject to confirmation of the accepted bond form and covered obligation.

Who needs it
Utility franchise providers or their contractors whose Saginaw project includes a separate written construction ROW bond request.
Who it protects
The accepted bond defines the city's security. The permit acknowledgment's restoration, indemnity and work-approval duties are not proof that every such duty is covered by this provider option.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Register the company doing utility work

Saginaw's current Public Works page requires utility franchise providers and contractors working for them to register as ROW contractors. The registration form asks for company/utility details, contacts, government identification for the primary contact and liability insurance listing the city as certificate holder. Confirm any separate bond request rather than treating that certificate as surety security.

Plan review is followed by inspector clearance

The ROW acknowledgment requires the applicant to supply plans/attachments and requested revisions, then meet the Utility Inspector for locates and final approval. The signed acknowledgment and application packet must remain at the work site after that approval. An issued bond does not replace the meeting or approved packet.

Keep the start and final-inspection steps

The acknowledgment requires at least 48 hours' notice to the Utility Inspector before work and scheduling of final inspection within 24 hours after completion. Final inspection approval is required to close the job; that permit closeout is not an automatic bond release.

Obtain the required principal, city form, amount, coverage dates and delivery instructions before using the existing Propeller option. Submit the issued instrument as directed and complete the city's separate registration, permit and inspection process.

Questions about this bond

Does the registration form set a bond amount?

The current form lists identification and liability insurance but does not state this construction ROW bond's amount or conditions. Obtain the separate city request before issuance.

Is plan review the final permission to begin?

The acknowledgment separately requires a Utility Inspector meeting for locates and final approval, followed by the required start notice.

Does completing work automatically release the bond?

No automatic release is established. The acknowledgment requires final inspection approval to close the job; any bond release must follow the accepted instrument and city instructions.
