Twinsburg, OH — Contractor's License Bond

The City of Twinsburg's 2026 packet requires its $10,000 contractor bond for each trade registration. A company doing several trades needs the separate registrations and bonds; one blanket registration is not accepted.

What this bond does

Support the applicant's calendar-year City of Twinsburg contractor registration for the actual trade.

Who needs it
Contractors checking each trade they perform, including businesses doing their own mechanical, electrical and plumbing work.
Who it protects
The City form addresses compliance with its building rules and the specified losses involving workmanship, materials and work-related negligence. It is registration security, not a separate project payment bond or replacement for liability insurance.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Prepare a bond for each actual trade

The 2026 instructions require each trade's own $10,000 City-form bond expiring December 31 of the registration year. They require an officer's signature, attorney-in-fact signature, notarization and the power-of-attorney document. A different expiration or missing execution is not accepted.

The application allows multiple credential selections, but that does not remove the separate registration and bond requirements for each trade. Match the business's physical address, actual credentials and project/permit references. Insurance and applicable State licensing remain separate; the packet also specifies a licensed, registered plumber for irrigation backflow work.

Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab. Match the City form, business, trade and December period before applying. After issuance, check signatures, notarization and authority, then provide the documents through GovWell. The current City page rejects emailed applications/construction documents; provider checkout does not create the required online City registration.

Is notarization required on this bond?

The 2026 instructions expressly require the bond to be signed by a company officer and attorney-in-fact and notarized, with power of attorney included.

Can I email the City my registration application?
