What this bond does

Support the applicant's Chapter 1321 City of Westlake contractor registrations.

Who needs it
New or renewing contractors matching the registration holder, exact company and every intended trade.
Who it protects
The instrument secures City-code compliance, specified correction or abatement and City loss protections. It is separate from liability evidence and does not supply blanket customer payment coverage.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Check the principal, authority date and whole package

The packet's bond instructions, revised April 17, 2026, require the City's form for a new or first-submitted bond. The registration holder is the principal; enter the exact company if used, or leave that company line blank for an individual without one. The principal needs an original signature; the attorney-in-fact signature and seal may be electronic or facsimile.

The bond execution date must be on or after the attached power-of-attorney date, and the surety name must agree. An existing corresponding renewal may use a signed, sealed continuation certificate with power of attorney. One bond/insurance certificate may serve multiple registrations only if it indicates them; the actual trade registrations remain separate.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Match City form, $10,000, principal/company, trades and registration dates. After issuance, have the agent return the bond to you for the complete single registration submission, not send it alone to the City. The current department handles registration through IMS; confirm how to supply required originals without treating online application as a signature waiver.
