Company background
Builders Mutual’s origins lie in a 1984 workers’ compensation self-insurers fund created by the North Carolina Home Builders Association. The fund later became an independent mutual insurer while retaining its construction-industry focus. Its business is organized around contractors and the work performed on construction sites. Alongside insurance, the company provides construction-oriented safety education and risk-management resources for that community.
