What this bond does

Prepare the annual surety security requested for Cary General contractors and subcontractors subject to the Village's stated requirement.

Who needs it
Cary General contractors and subcontractors outside the State-credentialed classes expressly excluded from the surety requirement.
Who it protects
The Village asks the bond to indemnify Cary against losses, costs, damage or judgments charged to it or its officials because of contractor acts or omissions under licensed authority. It is not the contractor's liability insurance.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Check the annual requirement and excluded classes

The form states a January–December registration year and separately calls for $10,000 surety annually. Use the accepted bond's actual dates rather than assuming a part-year applicant receives a displayed one-year provider term; the existing option shows none.

The surety paragraph expressly excludes Illinois-licensed plumbing, fire-alarm and fire-sprinkler contractors. The credential section distinguishes a plumber's 058 license from the company's 055 registration. Other State credential instructions, such as roofing, are not automatically the same surety exemption.

Keep project credentials and inspection paperwork separate

For plumbing projects, the form asks for an original letter of intent signed by the plumber listed on the State registration and notarized or bearing the stated corporate seal. That project document is not a surety pre-application prerequisite or a reason for an excluded plumber to buy generic license security.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. For a surety-required applicant, prepare the legal business name and Village request, then check the issued amount, Village protection wording, dates and execution before delivery as directed. Registration and inspection arrangements remain Village processes.

Questions about this bond

Do all Cary contractors need this surety?

The posted surety paragraph excludes the stated Illinois-licensed plumbing, fire-alarm and fire-sprinkler contractors. Confirm your actual credentials and Village category first.

Does any State license create the same exclusion?

Do not assume so. The surety paragraph names specific classes, while other trades have separate credential instructions. Use the actual Village request.

Must I notarize a plumbing letter before starting a surety application?

That instruction concerns an original letter of intent for a plumbing project. It is separate from the surety application and does not undo the listed plumbing surety exclusion.
