Deerfield, IL — Contractor License Bond

Deerfield lists signed $20,000 surety for General, electrical, roofing, excavation and concrete registration. For multiple registered trades, the Village encourages one bond listing them all—identify those trades before applying through Propeller.

What this bond does

Prepare the signed surety attachment for the applicable Deerfield registration trades.

Who needs it
Deerfield applicants in the Village's bond-listed rows, not automatically everyone using its online contractor process.
Who it protects
The accepted instrument defines the secured obligation. Listing actual registered trades addresses the Village's multi-trade instruction; it does not extend this option to unrelated obligations or replace professional licensing.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

List the trades you are actually registering

The Village encourages a single bond listing all trades for a multi-trade registration. Its General, electrical, roofing, excavation and concrete rows each state signed $20,000 surety. Do not assume one generically described trade covers another that was never listed.

The plumbing row instead asks for 055 and 058 IDPH credentials; irrigation lists 060 and a cross-connect license without the same bond entry. Use the actual row and Village request, not a universal attachment inferred from the online-registration heading.

Check the signature before online submission

Have the accepted form, legal principal, Village recipient, actual trade list and dates ready. Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab; it does not submit the Village registration.

After issuance, check the $20,000 instrument and required execution before the Village's online process. The existing option displays no term. Homeowner-specific permissions on the department page are not evidence that a contractor's bond authorizes every trade.

Sources

Have these ready

  1. Identify the actual Village registration rows.
  2. List every trade intended for the multi-trade bond.
  3. Match accepted principal, recipient, $20,000 and dates.
  4. Complete the issued instrument's signature requirements.
  5. Submit separately through the Village's registration process.

Questions about this bond

Can one bond name several trades?

The Village expressly encourages one bond listing all trades for which you register. Have the accepted wording reflect the actual list, not an assumed blanket scope.

Is every online registrant's checklist the same?

No. Plumbing and irrigation list their own credential rows without the signed-bond entry shown for the five named bond-listed classes. Confirm your actual request.

Does applying through Propeller finish registration?

No. Check the issued signed instrument, then complete the separate Village online submission and approval.
