Eastpointe, MI — Right Of Way Permit (Single Job) Bond

Eastpointe's selected Public Works water/sewer packet calls for $25,000 surety on file. It does not establish a separate single-job alternative. Ask the City to confirm the instrument accepted for your job before buying this single-job-labelled option.

What this bond does

City of Eastpointe, Michigan security assigned to the identified ROW permit, with the single-job form and its relationship to existing on-file security confirmed.

Who needs it
The actual job applicant and performing contractor, or an eligible homeowner applicant, subject to the City's permit and security determination.
Who it protects
The accepted instrument concerns the specified public-way obligation. It does not replace separate permission, inspection or the contractor/homeowner's temporary-restoration responsibility.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Confirm the single-job form and use the Public Works route

The current permit page directs Public Works permits to the Treasurer's window at City Hall and expressly says they are not available through BS&A. The online building/trade permit link is not the submission route for every ROW request.

Its selected water/sewer application and excavation guidelines require $25,000 surety on file for the described sewer work and use City-insured wording. Have the City specify the actual surety form and recipient wording and whether this single-job option satisfies the request; do not automatically assign the on-file requirement to every ROW activity or treat it as proof of a single-job alternative.

Arrange inspection and temporary protection

The selected sewer guidelines require Water and Sewer inspection before backfilling and say work must not be concealed before inspection. They require the contractor/homeowner to maintain the temporary asphalt patch until the City can replace the concrete street/sidewalk area; other restoration remains the contractor/homeowner's responsibility. Do not promise that the City restores everything or that the contractor performs the City's final concrete replacement.

Purchase Now opens Propeller. The option displays no fixed amount or term. Once the City confirms the single-job requirement, match its form, applicant/City recipient, assigned sum, job scope and dates with the issuer, arrange execution and accepted filing, and obtain actual permission before work.

Coordinate barriers, excavation protection and any necessary road-closure notices to Police and Fire. Keep inspection and restoration records and ask how the accepted job security is released; neither a temporary patch nor provider payment establishes closeout.

Questions about this bond

Can I submit every Public Works permit through BS&A?

No. The current City permit page directs Public Works permits to the Treasurer's window and says those permits are not available through BS&A.

Does the $25,000 on-file statement prove this single-job bond is accepted?

No. Obtain the City's exact form and confirmation of how the single-job option relates to the on-file requirement for the described sewer work.

Who maintains the temporary street patch?

The selected guidelines make the contractor/homeowner responsible until the City can perform the concrete street/sidewalk replacement. Arrange the before-backfill inspection and actual restoration/acceptance steps.
