Florida — 11th Judicial Circuit Court Process Server Bond

Miami-Dade’s Eleventh Circuit requires a $5,000 process-server performance bond, approved by the Clerk before presentation to the Administrative Office of the Courts. Use the current court request when applying through The Southern Agency; the bond is one step toward personal certification, not certification by itself.

What this bond does

Current Administrative Order 26-28 places the bond within certification for initial non-enforceable civil process in Miami-Dade. It works alongside applicant review, the approved education/examination requirements and oath, with annual renewal and proof of a current bond.

Who needs it
An individual seeking or renewing Eleventh Judicial Circuit certified civil process-server status. Match the person and circuit request rather than naming a service company alone or assuming authority to enforce writs.
Who it protects
Florida Statute 48.29(3)(g) protects people wrongfully injured by the applicant’s misconduct, neglect of duty or incompetence connected with process-server duties. Clerk approval and AOC receipt concern the certification process; they do not make those offices the only protected parties.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Get Clerk approval before AOC presentation

The court’s current program links September 2026 Administrative Order 26-28, which supersedes the earlier 24-08 order as amended. Paragraph A.1(f) calls for the $5,000 performance bond, annual renewability and Clerk approval before it goes to the AOC. Do not use an older search-result packet as the final instructions.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Match the individual applicant, Eleventh Circuit accepted form/recipient wording, sum, and actual dates before completing the application. Review the issued document, obtain the required Clerk approval and then present it through the AOC’s current process. The Chief Judge still determines entry on the approved list.

Prepare the certification records alongside the bond

The current order approves the FAPPS 16-hour new-applicant course and fixes an 80% passing examination grade. It normally calls for a course certificate dated within twelve months; a twelve-to-twenty-four-month certificate needs a separate approved four-hour continuing-education certificate from within the preceding twelve months.

Annual identification-card renewal requires good standing, a current bond and an approved four-hour continuing-education course. Check the court’s current enrollment or recertification window and portal directions. The public purchase option has no term label, so use the accepted instrument’s dates rather than inventing a fixed option term.

Questions about this bond

Does Clerk approval mean I am already certified?

No. The Clerk approves the performance bond before AOC presentation. The applicant still has to complete the other requirements and be placed on the approved list at the Chief Judge’s discretion.

Can I use a new-applicant course certificate older than a year?

Order 26-28 permits a certificate dated twelve to twenty-four months before application if it is paired with the approved four-hour continuing-education certificate dated within twelve months. Follow the current court request for your actual records.

What goes with annual ID renewal?

The current order calls for good standing, a current bond and an approved four-hour continuing-education course. Follow the court’s recertification window; buying a bond alone does not renew the identification card.
