What this bond does

Prepare the Village's trade-specific Permit Bond for the applicable contractor licensing request.

Who needs it
Hanover Park registrants whose actual class requires security rather than a listed no-bond credential route.
Who it protects
This security accompanies Village contractor registration, with the accepted form defining its conditions. It must name the Village and the trade; it is not the registration application, building permit or contractor liability policy.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Read the exceptions with the amount table

The packet lists $20,000 for sewer contractors and $10,000 for other contractors, then gives no-bond rows for plumbers, private alarm contractors and roofers. Do not apply the broad other-contractors row without those qualifications.

Plumbing has 055/058 credentials and a Letter of Intent; private alarm and roofing have State-license instructions. Electrical applicants use a current license from a testing town/city. These are Village registration documents, not universal RLI prerequisites.

Check trade wording, notarized signature and licensing year

The Village asks for an original Permit Bond made out to it, specific in trade, signed by the owner or corporate officer with that signature notarized, and containing a 30-day cancellation clause. It says the bond must run through the February 1–January 31 licensing year; confirm the accepted dates rather than using a calendar-year assumption.

Purchase Now opens RLI in a new tab. Match the legal principal, accepted class sum, wording and dates, then inspect issued execution before Village delivery. This option displays no term, and buying alone does not obtain the required license or permit.

Sources

Have these ready

  1. Check the sewer/other amount rows and named no-bond exceptions.
  2. Match the legal business, Village recipient and specific trade.
  3. Have accepted dates for the Village licensing year.
  4. Check original, proper signer, notarization and cancellation clause.
  5. Complete Village delivery and licensing separately from RLI purchase.

Questions about this bond

Does other contractors include the no-bond rows?

Read the packet together. It separately lists plumbing, private alarm and roofing as no-bond credential routes; confirm your actual class.

Is an application signature enough?

The packet separately requires an original Permit Bond signed by the owner or corporate officer with that signature notarized. Check the issued instrument itself.

Does Hanover Park use January–December dates?

Its packet says the bond must run through the February 1–January 31 licensing year. Confirm accepted effective/end dates rather than inferring a provider term.
