Lapeer, MI — Right Of Way Bond

For City of Lapeer public ROW work, the selected2026 packet calls for $5,000 performance surety or cash and separate inspection and release steps. Confirm that the City—not a different road authority—is named on your request; the permit's six-month window is not the bond's supplied term.

What this bond does

City of Lapeer, Michigan security, where the City is the requesting authority, for the identified ROW restoration and permit conditions.

Who needs it
The actual permittee or authorized agent, with the responsible construction/restoration party and any continuing facility agreement identified.
Who it protects
The accepted instrument concerns the permitted City work and restoration. Separate new-construction handoff or small-cell agreement security should not be assumed satisfied by the general ROW amount.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Use the current City packet and actual security assignment

The current Building forms page selects the February2026 ROW application/guidelines and directs online permit applications through BS&A. The packet routes permit issuance through Building with DPW review, identifies the job and site contact, and distinguishes fee, bond amount and instrument type. Do not use the older application location as your filing instruction.

The general conditions require $5,000 surety or cash for restoration/performance. The small-cell/DAS checklist separately requires $10,000 agreement security as ExhibitB and a ROW permit before work. New construction may also require additional restoration security for a conditional occupancy decision. Ask the City which instruments apply; these requirements are not interchangeable supplied options.

Coordinate inspections and the party doing final restoration

Arrange the required City form inspection before concrete and final inspection, with the stated 24-hour advance scheduling. The packet separately records inspection-deposit refund and performance-bond release. Keep those decisions distinct rather than treating a refund notation as the surety amount or premium refund.

Where a builder's contract excludes site restoration, the packet requires the responsible restoration party's ROW permit/bond arrangement before release. It also withholds applicable restoration release until favorable weather and substantial grass growth. Coordinate this handoff before construction rather than assuming paving or the builder's departure closes the permit.

Purchase Now opens Propeller. The option displays no fixed amount or term. Match the City's accepted form, parties, assigned security, work/facility coverage and dates with the issuer, arrange execution and accepted filing, and obtain the actual permit. The form's six-month permit expiry does not establish a six-month bond or end a continuing small-cell agreement.

Notify the City when complete and obtain DPW acceptance and Building's actual project/security closeout records. Confirm any required continuation while restoration remains outstanding.

Questions about this bond

Does the six-month permit expiry establish my bond term?

No. It is the permit window. This option displays no fixed term, and any continuing facility/restoration obligations need separate confirmation.

Does $5,000 general security satisfy the small-cell agreement automatically?

No. The selected checklist separately calls for $10,000 ExhibitB agreement security and a ROW permit. Ask the City what applies to your installation.

Can the builder leave final landscaping to the owner without coordinating release?

The packet requires the responsible restoration party's permit/bond arrangement and satisfactory restoration before applicable release. Coordinate the handoff and required inspections with Building/DPW.
