Michigan bonds

Oakland County, MI — Right Of Way Bond

Start with Road Commission for Oakland County jurisdiction and the actual facility or activity. Its selected application separates approval from permit issuance and places applicable responsibility on the performing contractor as well as the applicant. Compare the two offered providers against the Commission's actual security request, not an assumed fixed amount or annual term.

What this bond does

Security expressly accepted by Oakland County's road authority for the identified county-road work; exact instrument and provider-form match remain factual-check-pending.

Who needs it
The named facility/activity applicant and contractor seeking work permission from the Board of County Road Commissioners, rather than every contractor with an Oakland County address.
Who it protects
The accepted security defines covered permit duties. The application's continuing facility and restoration obligations do not establish the supplied bond's duration.

Choose from 2 options

Each option is a separate record. Where a term, bond amount, premium, or E&O limit is known, it is listed; match it to what your requirement asks for.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Identify the road, facility and actual responsible parties

The current RCOC application page covers approaches/private-road access, utilities, sewer/watermain, soil boring and other named activities. The selected application requires the road/location, detailed facility description and applicable plans/specifications; a closure also calls for traffic/detour information.

The contractor performing construction or maintenance must obtain the permit and shares applicable responsibility with the applicant. Identify both legal entities and ask the Commission which must be principal on the required security.

Application approval expires in one year if no permit has issued. That is not a one-year bond term. The conditions also retain facility duties and repair responsibility for resulting damage appearing after permit-licensee release; obtain actual security duration and release instructions.

Match either provider to the accepted instrument

Option 1 opens RLI for Right of Way Bond; Option 2 opens Propeller for Construction within the Right of Way Bond. Neither displays a fixed amount or term. Their titles alone do not establish identical instruments or which satisfies your Commission assignment.

Obtain the actual accepted form, Board recipient, principal, permit/facility reference, sum, scope and dates. Match that request with the selected issuer before arranging execution and Commission-accepted delivery.

The current page directs permit applications and plans electronically to the permits office, with download links rather than attachments over 10 MB. Confirm executed-bond delivery separately. Maintain separate required insurance, obtain the issued permit and retain settlement/restoration acceptance and actual security closeout.

Questions about this bond

Are the two listed providers confirmed interchangeable?

No equivalence or fixed attributes are supplied. Option 1 is RLI and Option 2 is Propeller; have the issuer match the Commission's actual instrument and assignment.

Does one-year application approval establish a one-year bond?

No. The selected application says approval expires if no permit issues within a year. Obtain the actual security dates separately.

Is emailing the permit application enough to file the bond?

The current application route does not establish executed-security acceptance. Confirm that delivery with the permits office and obtain the actual issued permit.
