What this bond does
The bond is part of the Department of Consumer Credit’s state licensing file. It is required alongside the financial statement showing at least $25,000 in available net assets, not instead of that statement.
- Who needs it
- Applicants and licensees arranging Oklahoma state pawnshop security, including an existing operator adding another location.
- Who it protects
- Use the regulator’s accepted form to establish the protected parties and secured undertaking. The public application establishes the per-license bond requirement, but does not spell out claim rights; do not treat the $5,000 sum as a promise that every loss is covered.
Your bond option
This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Questions about this bond
Does my first shop’s bond cover a new location?
The state instructions require $5,000 for each license and a bond form for each additional shop. Do not assume the first instrument satisfies the new location’s filing.
Can the bond replace the $25,000 net-assets statement?
No. The state program lists both the per-shop bond and the reviewed financial statement. They are separate licensing requirements.
Does the state application ask for an original bond?
Its instructions say to include a copy of the bond and all attachments and to have all signatures affixed. Check any current instructions specific to your licensing file before submitting.
