What this bond does

Support the business's CCB Commercial Specialty Level 1 license or renewal on the Board's Commercial Surety Bond.

Who needs it
Businesses selecting CSC1 and certifying the endorsement's combined eight years of qualifying key-employee experience.
Who it protects
The commercial instrument exclusively secures payment of CCB determination orders under its stated statute/rules and aggregate bond obligation. It is not a separately issued performance or payment bond for each commercial contract.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Choose Level 1 for the correct endorsement

The current chart says CSC1 and CSC2 perform the same work: one or two unrelated trades, which can change by job. CSC1 requires eight combined years of qualifying experience from one or more key employees, while CSC2 requires four. The chart identifies qualifying experience and allowed substitutions; do not assume the bond proves qualification or that the owner personally must supply every year.

Use the CCB Commercial form for $55,000, with the exact legal entity/applicant name, bond number, existing CCB number if already issued and sum in both places. The form's second page supplies entity-specific naming and attorney-in-fact/power-of-attorney directions. A residential endorsement additionally requires its separate residential bond; commercial security does not replace it.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Match CSC1, entity, $55,000 and accepted form before applying. After issuance, check original agent signature, authority and date. The form directs a new applicant to receive the bond/POA and include them with the CCB application; they must reach CCB within 60 days of the bond date. The bond is continuous, not valid until filed and licensing completed.

Questions about this bond

Does Level 1 allow more trades than Level 2?

The chart says both levels perform the same one-or-two-trade commercial work. Their experience and security requirements differ.

Must one owner alone have all eight years?

The chart allows combined qualifying experience from one or more key employees, with stated experience/substitution rules. Have CCB confirm your qualification.

Is the bond effective for licensing as soon as purchased?

No. The form requires filing within 60 days and says it is not valid until filed and licensing completed. It is a continuing obligation, not a quoted purchase term.
