Oregon — Liquor Cannabis Commission Winery Bond

This winery listing concerns Oregon alcohol licensing and privilege-tax security. Unless OLCC confirms a qualifying exception, a winery must maintain the required security in an amount and form the Commission accepts. Prepare the winery's license, legal principal and actual bond or waiver request before applying.

What this bond does

Secure the winery's payment obligations to OLCC under Oregon's alcohol laws, including covered fines, license fees, privilege and other alcohol taxes, penalties and interest.

Who needs it
Oregon winery applicants and licensees responding to OLCC's privilege-tax bond requirement or replacing required security. Identify the actual winery license and premises rather than using the regulator's name to infer a cannabis-license obligation.
Who it protects
ORS 471.155 makes the bond payable to OLCC. Its condition covers Liquor Control Act fines and the specified license fees, privilege taxes, ORS 473.045 taxes and other alcohol taxes, with penalties and interest. The security allows the Commission to collect protected amounts; it is not a general winery customer or property guarantee.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Details for winery security, waivers and filings

ORS 471.155 requires a winery's bond from a corporate surety authorized in Oregon, in a form and amount acceptable to the Commission. It also permits specified deposits under Commission-prescribed conditions. Match the actual requested security and sum; the statute does not support choosing an arbitrary standard amount or treating an alternative deposit as another option in this provider application.

OLCC's current winery page says a privilege-tax bond must be maintained unless an exception applies, and its tax guidance says the Commission may waive the requirement for qualifying licensees or permit holders. Confirm the actual waiver decision. A small-winery privilege-tax exemption does not by itself establish a bond waiver or remove every reporting duty.

The current privilege-tax guidance requires returns even when there is no activity. Winery licenses may report annually when no tax is due for the entire year. Coordinate the actual reporting status and any bond waiver with OLCC; a zero-activity period or a bond purchase is not a substitute for the required return.

Annual alcohol licensing now runs through CAMP, while privilege-tax statements and payments use Oregon Privilege Tax Online, or OPTO. Keep the license application, tax account and bond filing coordinated but distinct. Buying security through the provider does not create the OLCC license or complete either online process.

Questions about this bond

Does this listing concern cannabis cultivation?

Its subject is the winery license and alcohol-related security administered by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission. Match the actual winery request and ORS 471.155 condition rather than assuming the agency's name changes the bond's purpose.

Does no tax due mean no bond or return is needed?

Not automatically. OLCC may waive security for qualifying applicants, but confirm the actual waiver. Its guidance still requires returns with no activity and permits annual winery reporting when no tax is due for the entire year.

What follows Purchase Now?

Propeller's Oregon OLCC winery application opens in a new tab. Confirm the actual bond requirement or waiver first, then match the legal winery, license, Commission-accepted undertaking, required sum, dates and execution. File the security through OLCC's instructions; provider payment does not issue a license or complete CAMP or OPTO filings.
