What this bond does

Provide the surety document requested in City of Peru, Illinois contractor registration.

Who needs it
Contractors preparing the applicable Peru registration application and its supporting documents.
Who it protects
This bond is part of the City's licensing security under the accepted form. It is separate from liability insurance, applicable State credentials and any private project's performance or payment bond.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

List the business, owner and actual trades correctly

The City's form separates Business Name from Business Owner's Name and asks the applicant to list all trades. Use each field for its stated role, consistently with the business applying for the bond.

The application lists a signed original $10,000 bond and separately asks applicable plumbing-only and roofing-only registrants for State-license copies. Use your actual trade instructions; a credential is not an issued surety document.

Complete City registration after the bond is issued

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. Have the Peru request and business details ready. After issuance, verify the sum, accepted form, requested dates and required signing, then provide the original for the City application.

Peru's form says incomplete applications remain unprocessed. It describes licenses as valid January 1 through December 31 and says expiration of required insurance/licensing documents during that period makes the license invalid. Check each document's own dates rather than treating the calendar year as a bond term.

The City sends the license after its separate review and approval. Completing the provider application is not that approval.

Questions about this bond

Will the City process an application missing required documents?

The 2026 form says applications without the requested items are incomplete and remain unprocessed. The bond application and City review are separate.

Does a State-license copy supply the surety bond?

No. The form lists State credentials and the signed original bond as separate documents. Follow the actual City instructions for your trade.

Does December 31 automatically set the bond's expiration?

That date describes the City license cycle. Match the requested and issued bond's own dates and maintain the required documents during the licensing period.
