What this bond does

Provide the surety document requested for applicable Village of Westmont contractor registration.

Who needs it
Contractors outside the form's stated State-licensed interior-plumbing and alarm-installer routes.
Who it protects
The applicant agrees to applicable codes and standards. Match the accepted Village bond form to that registration obligation rather than treating it as a guarantee of completion or payment on every contract.

Your bond option

This is the option on record for this bond.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Check the limits of the licensed-trade exception

The form directs State-licensed plumbers performing interior work only, and State-licensed alarm installers, to provide their valid State license and completed registration form. Do not extend the interior-plumbing qualification to every exterior or utility job.

Other contractors have the minimum $10,000 bond instruction. Electricians also need a current license from a Westmont-recognized authorizing agency, presently another Illinois municipality. Roofers provide their valid Illinois roofing license.

Match bond expiration to the registration date

Westmont registration lasts one year from registration, not automatically through December 31. Check that the bond expires no earlier than one year from that actual registration date; an earlier-starting document is not enough merely because it was written for twelve months.

Purchase Now opens Propeller in a new tab. After issuance, verify the business, minimum requested sum, Village naming, dates and execution. Complete the signed Village registration, using the business street address rather than a PO box, before permit issuance.
