What this bond does
Provide the professional fundraiser security for licensing under 1975 PA 169 using the Attorney General's Uniform Professional Fund Raiser Surety Bond.
- Who needs it
- The professional fundraising business serving charitable or religious organizations under the Solicitations Act. A qualifying advice-only consultant has a specific exemption test in CTS-07; individual solicitors retained to contact donors have separate registration duties.
- Who it protects
- CTS-08 benefits Michigan's people, charitable organizations and other persons with causes of action for the principal's solicitation malfeasance or misfeasance, including employed professional solicitors. Reimbursement follows a final Attorney General decision or court judgment. All judgments and final decisions share the $10,000 aggregate.

The bond amount describes the limit of the bond obligation, not the price. A listed amount does not establish what the requesting party requires. The premium is what you pay and must be confirmed for the actual option. An E&O limit, where listed, is separate errors and omissions insurance.

Questions about this bond
Is this the same requirement as Michigan public-safety fundraising?
No. The charitable Solicitations Act programme uses $10,000 CTS-08 and CTS-07 licensing. Public-safety fundraising has its own Act, registration and different security requirements. Describe the organization served before choosing the undertaking.
Does calling my business a consultant remove the licensing requirement?
Not by itself. CTS-07 lists four conditions covering compensation, advice-only work, lack of control over contributions and no engagement of compensated soliciting/handling personnel. The actual arrangement must satisfy all four.
What follows Purchase Now?
Propeller's Michigan Professional Fund Raiser, All Other Organizations application opens in a new tab. Match the charitable role, principal, accepted $10,000 CTS-08 condition, dates and signed authority, then complete licensing and separate filings. Payment does not issue the state license or register individual solicitors.
